THE Floral Pavilion will be screening the final of Eurovision 2023, hosted by Liverpool.

Liverpool found out that they would be hosting the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in October after Britain was asked to hold the event on behalf of the designated host country, Ukraine.

The birthplace of The Beatles won the race over Glasgow, Scotland, the other UK finalist. In all, seven British cities had applied to hold the pan-continental music competition.

Ukraine won the right to host the pop extravaganza when its entry, folk-rap ensemble Kalush Orchestra, won this year's contest. Britain's Sam Ryder came second.

Organisers concluded it was too risky to stage the event in Ukraine, so the 2023 contest went to Britain, which says the event will be a celebration of Ukrainian culture and creativity.

You will be able to watch the show live at a screening in the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton.

For £44 a ticket, you can enjoy bucks fizz and canapes on arrival, along with a two-course meal, toast drink for number nine - in honour of Sir Terry Wogan, free prints from a photo booth, and a live screening of the Eurovision final.
