GLOBE readers have shared their heartfelt tributes in memory of a woman who died after she was hit by two cars in Hoylake.

Police officers confirmed they were called to the scene on Market Street in Hoylake at around 6.45pm on Wednesday, January 11 following reports that a pedestrian had been hit by two vehicles.

Officers were called to the scene after the woman was hit by a blue Saab. It is believed that following the first collision the woman was then in collision with a silver Ford Fiesta.

The woman in her 80s was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Globe readers took to social media to share their condolences with the woman and the drivers involved in the tragic incident.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed and her family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Both drivers stopped at the scene and are currently assisting police with their ongoing enquiries.

An investigation is underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
