A MOTORIST who ran off after after a crash in Seacombe earlier this morning (Friday, January 6) is wanted by police.

Emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on Poulton Road at around 1.15am.

The incident, inolving a BMW X5 and a parked black Ford Fiesta, caused damage only to the vehicle.

The BMW was then abandoned and a male was seen making off on foot towards Tesco Express.

The black Ford Fiesta is owned by nurse Kelli Parker, who was asleep with her family at the time of the incident and sent these pictures of the crash's aftermath to the Globe and said the "whole house shook" because of the force of the crash.

In a Facebook post, Kelli commented: "Must’ve been going some speed because it’s moved my car, taken out a concrete bollard and left my car in the next road. this was on poulton road by the 10o'clock shop.

"He ran off towards seacombe ways someone said.

"He had no shoes on and has hurt himself. If anyone has any ring doorbells or cctv around there please can you check around that time."

A Merseyside Police statement read: "Enquiries are being carried out into the circumstances and are appealing for people who witnessed the collision to come forward.
