MERSEYRAIL has cancelled its early services on all lines tomorrow morning due to the plummeting temperatures.
The rail operator has confirmed its first services will not run tomorrow (Saturday) because of the cold weather and forecast for snow.
The services had already been delayed due to the strike action by the RMT union but now won’t run at all.
The first service on the network was scheduled to run from 7.30am but now rail users won’t see services run until around 8.15am.
New Brighton, West Kirby and Chester and Ellesmere Port are among the services affected by the cancellations as well as Southport and the Ormskirk and Kirby line.
The strike action means Merseyrail services will go from running every 15 minutes to every 45 minutes.
Empty 'route-proving' trains will run before passenger services to ensure the network is safe to operate.
All services will stop at around 6.30pm tomorrow and there will be no rail replacement buses on strike days. Passengers have been advised to make alternative travel arrangements.
