SANTA will be visiting a Birkenhead shopping centre this December.
In a cave set up and run entirely by volunteers from The Rotary Club of Birkenhead, Santa will be making an appearance at the Pyramids Shopping Centre.
The Rotary Club of Birkenhead has 50 members plus five Honorary Members and is part of Rotary International – a global network of service volunteers.
This special Christmas event has been possible due to support from The Pyramids Management, shop front painting by artist Adam Bresnen, and help from a few Rotarian elves.
The Club has also invited musicians and choirs to perform nearby, and last weekend, The Dee-Sign British Sign Language Choir performed, drawing in a large very appreciative crowd.
Rotary President, Lionel Bolland, said: "We have been delighted by the response received from children and parents. Our aim was not just to raise funds for the charities we support, but to also provide some festive joy in the shopping centre.
"Our thanks go to The Pyramids Management who provided our base, and of course all our Rotarian donors and volunteers."
A number of complimentary tickets have been provided to three organisations in Birkenhead, to support families who may struggle to attend.
The cost per child is £5 and £2 for toddlers. Parents can take their own photographs and the children leave with a chocolate gift and book.
You can see Santa on Saturday, 10, Sunday, 11, Saturday, 17 and Sunday, 18 of December between 10am and 4pm.
