A NESTON newsagent which closed it doors earlier this year, has now re-opened under new management.
Becky Mylchreest, 39, from Ness, bought Village News on Town Lane in October after the previous owner Melanie Pearson took her retirement after 30 years in the business.
For the past couple of months, Becky has been working hard to renovate Village News, giving it a new look, with more space.
The shop has also had a wall built in the middle, as popular local barber ‘Grace Taylor Barbers’ has taken over the other half of the shop.
Speaking to the Globe, Becky said: "We built the wall in between us and Jo (barbers) and my neighbour also came and helped put all the cladding up.
"Everything just takes over, you think it's only going to take a couple of weeks but then more needs doing.

She added: "Everyone has been so lovely, and made me feel so much better because I was so nervous.
"When everyone came in a were getting their papers it was great.
"They've made us feel so welcome."
Becky's colleague Sam is also selling her handmade crafts in the shop which include hanging hearts, keyrings and Christmas-themed gifts.

Becky also hopes to introduce paper deliveries in the New Year.
