THE body of a man found in Saughall Massie on Saturday (November 26) is that of missing Alan Giles, police have confirmed this afternoon.
Mr Giles, who lived in Hoylake, was last seen on Friday (November 18) at around 2pm.
The 80-year-old was last spotted at The Railway Public House on Birkenhead Road in Meols.
Mr Giles has been formally identified and police are supporting his family at this difficult time.
His death is being treated as not suspicious and a post-mortem will be carried out to establish the cause.
