THERE is disruption on Merseyrail's network after a person was hit by a train earlier this afternoon.
Services are currently suspended between Sandhills and Kirkby and between Sandhills and Ormskirk. A limited rail replacement bus service will run between these stations.
A spokesperson for Merseyrail said that services had been disrupted on the Northern Line "following a welfare incident at Kirkdale station".
The condition of the person is not yet known.
Disruption is expected until 6pm.
