POLICE and Merseyrail Revenue Protection Team in Birkenhead joined forces in the fight against travel fraud and travelling criminality.
The rail network is often seen as a “Free Ride” and persons involved in county lines offences and other criminal activity use the rail services as a means of quick transport around our neighbourhoods.
Pictures (below) showing police officers from #TeamBeb and revenue protection team staff at work were shared in a Wirral Police Facebook post.
The post read: "Over 10 people were reported for travel fraud and other passengers made positive comments to the presence of police officers in and around the Birkenhead Railway Stations.
"We will continue to work with our partners on the transport system in an effort to combat crime and anti-social behaviour."
