A COUPLE from Neston have opened a new shop, stocking different food and drink from across the world.
Indre and Rolandas Mirauskaite, both 38, are originally from Lithuania.
After quitting her job as a receptionist, Indre and her husband decided to set up their own local business.
The couple recently opened ‘T&N Global Foods’ after being unable to purchase any of their favourite foods they would usually have back in Lithuania.
Speaking to the Globe, Indre said: “We wanted to open a shop that sold Lithuanian foods, but then we decided to make a global food store and stock food from all the countries.”
The store is still in the process of finishing stocking its shelves but is open for business.
Food and drink are currently available from Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine.
The shop is introducing food from Malaysia, South Africa and Hungary in the coming weeks.
The mum-of-two added: “People are continuing to ask for foods from other countries, so we are trying to get all of them in our shop.
“We are getting fresh meat and vegetables for the shop soon as well.
“People are trying all the food. Surprisingly, it’s more English people visiting the shop to buy the food.”
‘T&N Global Foods’ are open Monday-Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.
The shop is situated at 27 Marina Drive, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0AL.
