A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following an incident at Bidston Railway Station this afternoon (Tuesday, September 27).
British Transport Police were called to Bidston station at 12.49pm to reports of a man damaging station property and throwing objects onto the tracks.
The arrested man was taken into police custody.
Rail services to West Kirby were disrupted for a short time while the incident was dealt with.
A Merseyrail statement read earlier: "Bidston is now reopened with trains stopping as normal. It was briefly closed due to anti-social behaviour.
"The situation has all been resolved now."
