A 29-year-old man has been arrested today in connection with the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel in Liverpool.

The nine-year was fatally shot in Dovecot on Monday, August 22 after a man forced his way inside her home while trying to flee a masked gunman.

Today's arrest came after warrants were executed at three properties in the West Derby area earlier today.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and taken into custody where he will be questioned by detectives.

Searches of the three properties are continuing.

A Merseyside Police statement read: "The investigation into Olivia’s murder remains ongoing and we continue to appeal for people with information to come forward to assist us in bringing those responsible to justice.
