WHERE do you go for a totally tasty treat? Where serves the best desserts?
In our Best of 2022 campaign, we’ve given out 15 awards so far in Wirral for hair, nails, beauty, children, pubs, beer gardens, cafes, gyms and independent shop as well as pies, fish and chips, breakfast, afternoon tea, roast dinner, pizza and burger.
Dreams Hair Colour Experts, By Taylor Jade, Leona Ashleigh Beauty, Clown Around, The Traveller’s Rest, The Red Fox, Fitness Wirral Group and Apollo Music together with Veronica’s Bakery, The Green Hut, Smuggler’s Cave, Fleur Ashley Tea Rooms, Rainbow Café Wirral, Forza and Zero Clucks Given have all been crowned winners in their respective categories
Next up we wanted to find Wirral’s best dessert.
After reading all your nominations, we’ve shortlisted the top seven, who will battle it out to be named Best Dessert 2022 in Wirral.
Now we need your help to choose an overall winner from our shortlist.

There are three ways to vote:

Baked Cafe, Frankby Stiles, Larton, Birkenhead
An independent cafe that says it’s “passionate about great coffee, good food and the local community”.
“Home made cakes to die for,” said one happy customer.
Puddos, King Street, Wallasey
They claim to deliver “the best desserts and milkshakes around the Wirral” with one reader describing them as “the best” while another said they serve “fantastic food”.
Zero Clucks Given, Oxton Rd, Birkenhead
Serving vegan and vegetarian burgers dished up in a hip location with bright wall art, this destination is also known for its desserts.
“Their Biscoff waffle is awesome,” said one reader.
Olawa Bakery, Wallasey Road, Liscard
Traditional Polish treats are the order of the day here , where they “believe that breads and cakes are something more than just a food. It is a taste and smell that reminds you of the good times”.
“By far the best place to pick up a nice sweet treat,” commented one customer.
Yankies Sweets and Treats, Town Lane, Bebington
As the name suggests, Yankies is an American Dessert Diner and sweet store that seems particularly popular with our readers.
Last Course, Hoylake Road, Moreton
Milkshakes, cookies, crepes and American style pancakes are all on offer here. “The best milkshakes around,” said one satisfied customer.
The Waiting Room Cafe, Victoria Parade, New Brighton
A railway-themed cafe near New Brighton promenade serving homemade cakes.
“The best fresh home-baked cakes around,” insisted one of our readers.
