A Wirral suicide prevention charity has teamed up with a sports event company to help break down the stigma around mental health and suicide.
The partnership between The Martin Gallier Project and TNT Extreme Wrestling is designed to provide entertainment and joy for all of the charity's clients through wrestling, with the aim of helping to break down the stigma around mental health and suicide.
The Martin Gallier Project is fiercely dedicated to preventing suicides, breaking down stigmas & supporting families in the North-West of England.
At TNT's recent Project X event with WWE fan favourite, Scotty 2 Hotty, many people from the charity had a great night to remember.
Jay Apter, founder of TNT Extreme Wrestling, said "Working with the Martin Gallier Project is a real honour and we fully support everything that the project stands for.
"It is making a real difference in the local area and we want to fully get behind it."
Jessica Gallier, chief executive a founder of The Martin Gallier Project said: "TNT Extreme Wrestling has a huge fan base and it is so inspiring to know they are using their platform to help raise awareness and break down the stigma surrounding suicide, in turn helping the team at The Martin Gallier Project in their mission."
Lee McAteer, co-owner of TNT Extreme Wrestling added: "As Paddy Pimblett said after his UFC win, it is vital to remove the stigma that men can't talk.
"By joining forces we not only hope to be able to help men, but also our women fan base too."
Together, TNT Extreme Wrestling and The Martin Gallier Project hope to change the stigma around mental health and suicide, getting both men and women to talk.
