A MAKEUP artist from Wirral has turned her dreams into a reality after opening her own salon in Wallasey.
Rosie McKay qualified as a makeup artist just before the coronavirus pandemic hit.
Despite the world stopping in its tracks, 21-year-old Rosie persevered by building up her brand and training in aesthetics to keep her skills up to date.
Rosie told the Globe: “I had always wanted to open my own salon.
“I searched around for an ideal location but because I’m so young I found it difficult.”
Continuing the hunt for her dream premises, Rosie came across an unlikely venue on Seaview Road in Liscard.
She said: “It was formally a children’s party venue but I instantly felt that this was the place I could make my dreams a reality and when I got the keys it was full steam ahead.”
Once securing the property, Rosie’s family and friends, with the help of some builders, joined together to transform the shop into what Rosie describes as a “pink paradise”.
Named Everythingz Rosie, clients are able to choose from an abundance of treatments including makeup, nails, lashes, and hair.
As well as offering treatments to people, Rosie says she wanted to create a “safe space” for those who visit the salon.
She said: “This is a dream come true. I have always struggled with self-confidence, but once I believed I could, I did.”
“I wanted to create a friendly salon environment here in Liscard and boost the self-confidence of my clients so they believe that they are talented, beautiful, individual, and can achieve anything.”
