Wirral man, 46, charged with drugs offences
A Wirral man has been charged with drugs offences as part of an ongoing investigation into drugs supply across Merseyside.
Peter Maddocks from Ridley Street in Birkenhead was arrested on Thursday and charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (cocaine) and Class B drugs cannabis.
The 46-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today.
The charges form part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of encrypted mobile devices, commonly referred to as Encrochat.
