A heavy vehicle collision on a busy junction is causing disruption to traffic in Bromborough this afternoon.

The incident, which is believed to have occurred at around midday today (December 1) played out on the crossroads joining Allport Road, Allport Lane and Bridle Road.

Two vehicles were involved - a silver Vauxhall and a dark blue Renault Captur. Both were badly damaged in the crash.

Police are at the scene, but the Globe understands that there have been no serious injuries as a result of the incident.

A Matrix police vehicle is currently positioned in front of one of the vehicles, slowing down traffic approaching the crossroads on Allport Lane, coming from Bromborough village.

The other vehicles is situated around the corner on Allport Road.

Motorists in the area could experience some delay while the two vehicles are cleared from the area.
