With Halloween fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to visit a pumpkin patch where you can go along and choose your own pumpkin.
Pumpkin picking is a spooktacular family day out and many places offer pumpkin carving.
Here are some of the best places you can visit in North West for pumpkin picking this autumn.
The Pumpkin Patch Hightown
Orrell Hill Lane, Hightown, L38 5DA
This patch is open until October 31st from 9am - 6pm and offers sweetcorn picking, carving kiits and giant ‘gladiator’ pumpkins.
No booking is needed.
Haigh Woodland Park
School Lane, Wigan, WN2 1PE
Open from October 28 – 31, this pumpkin patch costs £5 per person.
Included is 25 minutes to pick your perfect pumpkin, have pictures taken with it and carving tents to create a pumpkin masterpiece.

Windmill Animal Farm

Open from October 9-31, this is slightly pricier at £15.95, but gives you a full day at the farm and includes a pumpkin.

Roby Mill

This farm is open everyday until October 31, with booking required on weekends and during half term.
There is free entry to this patch and pumpkins start at just £2.

Farmer Teds Pumpkin festival 2021
Farmer Teds Adventure Farm, Worrall House Farm Larder, Flatman's Ln, Ormskirk L39 7HW
This fantastic farm is one for all the family with their Pumpkin Festival running throughout October.
Included in the ticket price is the Ghost Hunter Express train, free pumpkin picking and fancy dress competitions. Be sure not to miss out!

Open every weekend from and then daily from October 23-31.
There are 20,000 pumpkin plants are Dunham Massey and ticket-holders will be able to pick the pumpkins straight from the vines.
