WIRRAL Met College's apprentice of the year has been awarded to a plumber working for Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP).
James Brady has worked for CWP for six years and is currently working towards a second qualification in gas engineering after achieving his advanced apprenticeship in maintenance engineering.
His tutor nominated him for the award for "giving 100% to everything that is asked of him and showing great drive and determination."
James Brady said: "I'm very pleased to have been recognised by Wirral Met College for this award and my next step is working to become a gas safe registered engineer.
"Doing what I do gives me a great sense of pride.
"Ensuring things run effectively means patients can receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner."
As a CWP plumber, James carries out planned maintenance and day-to-day repair and installations at properties in the Cheshire and Wirral areas.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including all-age disability care, community physical and mental health services and learning disability support - including the provision of three GP surgeries.
Estates maintenance manager at CWP, Stewart Gordan added: "I have only been James’ manager for a short period of time however it is no surprise to me that James has won this award.
"He is a motivated person who demonstrates a good attitude towards his work. I am looking forward to working more with James in the future and getting to know him better."
