Thugs armed with a knife and hammers broke into a pub in Liscard and threatened three people on Tuesday night (July, 13).

At around 111.30pm three men forced entry to the Queens Pub in Liscard Village through the rear door.

One of the suspects is said to have put a knife through the letterbox of the property while attempting to break in, causing a minor injury to a man who was inside the pub.

Once inside the property, the offenders threatened the three occupants of the pub, a man and woman in their 20s and a woman in her 30s, with a knife and a hammer.

It is believed that they stole cash and alcohol before making their escape.

An investigation is now underway and house-to-house, forensic and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area to identify the three men involved.
