A new Watersports and Aqua Park has opened at Marine Lake in the heart of New Brighton’s Promenade.

Wild Shore New Brighton is a fantastic new water-based adventure hub perfectly designed for individuals and families with a love of water.

The brand new facility offers a wide range of outdoor activities including an Aqua Park with an inflatable obstacle course, wakeboarding, Ringo, pedalo, kayaking, open water swimming and the increasingly popular stand-up paddleboarding.

Wirral Globe:

Malcolm Gillies, Chairperson said: “Following the success of our water park in Liverpool Docks and in Delamere, near Northwich, we’ve been looking for the perfect location on the Wirral and the launch of Wildshore New Brighton has been the culmination of many months of hard work and development of the facilities on site.

"We wanted to invest in the local area and create jobs as well as a great watersports and aqua park that appeals to everyone who wants to have fun in the water. Whether you want to learn to paddleboard or wakeboard, or want to bounce around on a Ringo or take a trip in a pedalo, there’s something for everyone.”

The park has been launched in perfect timing for the summer and is already drawing families and watersport enthusiasts alike.

Wildshore New Brighton opened its doors on the June 26, but the official opening day is being held on July 24, with fun demonstrations and music hosted by Dee 106.3, who are even bringing their Cheshire Cat mascot - perfect for the whole family to enjoy a day out.

The new venture is creating 25 jobs for the local economy, with many of those being taken by young people who have a passion for watersports.

It has also attracted professional instructors who teach people to wakeboard or paddleboard.

The adventure hub has been designed in a Covid-safe way with enhanced cleaning and social distancing in the changing facilities and for equipment including paddleboards, wetsuits and wakeboards which are all included within the price, depending on the session booked.

Capacity restrictions are currently in place and the site has already seen record bookings since opening a couple of weeks ago.
