A MAN who fell from a bridge on the M53 is in a stable condition, police say.
Merseyside Police were called at 12.40pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 15) to reports that a man had fallen from a bridge at junction 2.
The Upton-by-pass and M53 Southbound was closed between junctions 2 and 3 while emergency services dealt with the incident.
He was taken to hospital by air ambulance for his injuries.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson says he "remains in hospital in a stable condition".
