MANAGEMENT at the Light Cinema in New Brighton have made the "difficult decision" to close its doors "until further notice" after the final showing on Christmas Eve.

A Facebook post from the cinema read "With all the uncertainty with the tier system alongside a rather sparse upcoming film slate, we then won't be reopening until further notice.

"We’ll continue to review the situation and will keep you informed of any changes as soon as we can."
