In recognition of VJ75 year, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is offering the chance for two lucky readers to each win a signed copy of Captive Artists.
VJ75 (victory over Japan), marks 75 years since the end of the Second World War and the homecoming of Far East Prisoners of War (FEPOW).
Written by Wirral authors, Meg Parkes and Geoff Gill (in collaboration with war art curator Jenny Wood), Captive Artists is published by Palatine Books.
Soft back, with 416 pages and over 300 images in full colour, it documents all 69 British secret war artists uncovered by LSTM’s seven-year-long Far East prisoner of war (FEPOW) art investigation.
To enter, simply visit www.captivememories.org.uk/fepow-art and answer the following question:
Who created the embroidery of the imaginary tropical bird surrounded by flowers?
