FOUR more coronavirus patients have died at NHS hospitals on the Wirral.
Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge hospitals, has reported the four deaths from Covid-19 today, October 31.
Three of the deaths were recorded on Wednesday, October 28, while one was recorded on Tuesday, October 27, according to NHS England.
It takes the total number of coronavirus patients to have died at Wirral NHS hospitals to 294, after six deaths were reported by the trust on Friday, October 30.
Across England, another 208 people have died from coronavirus at NHS hospitals in the latest figures, including 83 in the north west.
Of those 208 people, 196 were aged 60 or above.
At the nearby Countess of Chester NHS Trust, one new death has been reported today for a patient who died on Thursday, October 29.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has reported seven deaths today, with one being recorded on Friday, October 30 and six on Thursday, October 29.
Only deaths that occur in hospitals where the patient has tested positive for Covid-19 are recorded, with deaths in the community excluded, such as those in care homes.
Their families have been informed.
