CREMATION services at Landican cemetery are being live-streamed for the first time in a pilot scheme this week.
It is hoped the initiative, at Landican Crematorium, will continue to allow for social distancing guidelines imposed by the Government to be adhered to, and for families, relatives and friends to say goodbye to loved ones and be able to grieve as they wish to at this already difficult time.
A council spokesperson said: "The authority recognises that whilst government guidelines on social distancing requires the number of mourners at funeral services to be limited to 15, this does not enable everyone who would like to, to pay their respects and say goodbye to loved ones."
