A WIRRAL vets is one of a fab five belonging to the same veterinary group which have been recognised in the top 25 surgeries in the UK.
Acorn Veterinary Centre in West Kirby has been honoured at the annual Best UK Vets awards.
It is one of five small animal surgeries from Willows Veterinary Group which have been named in the top 25 at the awards, based on client reviews.
The others in the top 25 for the awards were Willows Veterinary Hospital in Hartford, The Firs Veterinary Surgery in Kelsall, Beech House Veterinary Centre in Warrington and Manchester Vet Centre in Denton, Tameside.
The Best UK Vets awards are run by VetHelpDirect.com, an independent reviewing platform and directory website, which invites pet owners across the UK to leave starred reviews about their local surgery. There are estimated to be around 5,500 vet practices in the UK in total.
The practices with the most four or five star reviews, monitored from February to February each year, will find themselves with the top places in the awards, with one overall winner announced, along with various category winners.
One of those reviews posted about Acorn Veterinary Centre said: “We have been coming to Acorn Vets with our Labradors for many years. Rhiannon and all the staff are unfailingly helpful, friendly and often provide far more than what is required. They are very caring and compassionate.”
Branch Manager and vet for Acorn Veterinary Centre, Rhiannon Mansell, said: “The whole team is over the moon to receive this recognition which I feel reflects the dedication and care we strive to give all our clients and their pets. It has been great to feel so appreciated.
“I must thank all our loyal clients that have left us those lovely reviews. It is very important for us to read that people in our community feel we make a difference in the lives and care of their much-loved pets.”
Bruce Waddell, Senior Small Animal Vet for Willows Veterinary Group, said: “The honour for us with these awards is not only the volume of our surgeries which have been recognised but the fact that it is based on client reviews.
“The best interests of our pets and their families is at the heart of everything we do and it’s fantastic that our teams, including the fantastic staff at Acorn Veterinary Centre, have been recognised in this way.
“We are so grateful to all the reviewers for their kind words and taking the time to share them.
“Reading through some of the reviews really does make you feel heartened that all the hard work, commitment and care which goes into making a Willows Veterinary Group surgery tick is appreciated by people.
“At times, we are looking after their pets during very stressful, upsetting and challenging times and it is lovely to read that people feel we do our bit to make the situations just that bit more bearable.”
The Acacia Grove surgery celebrated its success along with Willows Veterinary Group’s Ashbrook Equine Hospital in Knutsford, which scooped the top spot in the ‘Best Equine Vet in the UK’ category.
