A PERSON has died after being hit by a train between Bebington and Rock Ferry stations this morning.
British Transport Police confirmed the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rail services are currently subject to delay and possible cancellation.
A spokesman told the Globe: "At 8:24am today, officers from British Transport Police were called to the line in the Bebington area after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Officers attended alongside paramedics however a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner."
The person's gender or age has not yet been confirmed.
