IT'S just four months to go until Skeleton Coast lands at Leasowe Castle, a homecoming date which will mark the end of summer for headliner Miles Kane.
With a packed festival schedule Miles will be travelling the world before heading home to perform his first ever show in Wirral on Sunday, August 31.
The 33-year-old told the Globe: "I've never played in Wirral before so it feels pretty stressful to be honest.
"It will be the last gig of the summer for me and it'll be a nice way to round off the year and half of touring with this album (Coup De Grace).
"Each year Skeleton Coast is getting bigger and it's nice to keep it in the family. We've built this thing musically so creating these little events from the ground up is an inspiring thing."
The event will also see Miles curate his own stage, bringing some of the hottest upcoming talent to the forefront of the event such as Dream Wife, Peach Fuzz, The Fernweh, The Mysterines and The Snuts.
"There’s so many great young bands out there now and I just keep coming across all the time," says Miles.
"I’m very fond of The Mysterines who are also from Wirral who I think are a great young band.
"It's hard to break on to the mainstream level but I believe everyone has evolved and I think that a lot of those young bands who don’t get that break are at that level. So it’s just pulling together and helping each-other out."
Miles regularly visits home, staying with his parents in Meols but says the event is going to be an 'emotional' day for him.
"I just believe it’ll be such an emotional day for us," says Miles, "It’ll be the best gig that’s happening this year for sure.
"It’s one of them unique places where there aren’t gigs and they're building the show from scratch.
"I think it's going to be one of those special moments when people ask ‘Were you there?’."
During the one-day event there will be DJ set from Liverpool's own Sh*t Indie Disco and a new art exhibition alongside stages curated by EVOL and Getintothis.
