A POP-UP event where people discuss all things about death is coming to Wirral.
Death Cafe is a world-wide phenomenon where people get to together to talk about death and help people make the most of life.
It is an opportunity for people to talk openly about the subject of dying and coming to terms with the inevitable.
A Death Cafe does not provide counselling or grief therapy and does not promote death related businesses.
The first event will take place at Hoylake Parade Community Centre on Wednesday, May 8 from 7pm to 9pm.
Funeral celebrant and organiser of Death Cafe events in Wirral, Martin Poole told the Globe: "It was actually a really great evening.
"There was a surprising amount of laughter and it was wonderful to be able to mix with like-minded people who are curious about discussing the final taboo.
"Talking about death rather than shying away from the subject can really help and for many people, talking about and coming to terms with their own death means that they can make better decisions about their life."
The event is free to attend with refreshments available at a small fee.
Plans are underway for more Death Cafe events across Wirral in Heswall, Wallasey, Birkenhead and Bebington.
If you would like to attend, email martin@wirralfuneralcelebrant.co.uk to reserve your free space.
