BUS users across Wirral are set to see more Stagecoach Gold buses on their routes due to an increase in demand.
Stagecoach Merseyside revealed that it will expand its 'luxury' brand fleet to operate on the 38 bus service between West Kirby and Eastham Ferry from Sunday, January 13.
Buses will run every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday with hourly services during evenings and Sundays.
Each of the Gold buses feature spacious legroom, comfortable e-leather seats and offer free Wi-Fi.
Contactless payment methods are also available on board across the fleet and the buses run off bio-diesel, powered by low emission engines.
Rob Jones, managing director at Stagecoach Merseyside, Cheshire and South Lancashire, told the Globe: “Since launching our first Gold route in 2015, the fleet has proven increasingly popular with passengers who love the added luxury and additional benefits the service offers.
“We’re pleased to be adding service number 38 to our existing Gold routes and look forward to rolling out this affordable alternative which will offer passengers enhanced connectivity and comfort during their journey, whether they are commuting to work or seeing friends.
“With the addition of service number 38 to our existing Gold routes, we will be delivering a new level of quality for customers across the region.”
Weekly Stagecoach tickets to travel across Wirral costs £14 for adults and £7 for Under 19s.
