A MAN has been detained after threatening to jump from a bridge at Birkenhead Park station.
It follows almost two hours of negotiations with British Transport Police and emergency services, who had been at the scene since before midday.
Services to and from West Kirby and New Brighton have resumed, but are subject to disruption.

A spokesman for British Transport Police told the Globe: "We were called to Birkenhead Park station at 11.51am following reports of a man threatening to jump from a bridge.
"Our officers attended along with colleagues from Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service, and a 24-year-old man was safely brought down from the bridge at around 1.35pm and has been detained."

The incident caused delays for many passengers.
One told the Globe: "It's caused a lot of disruption to a people's journeys, but thankfully it wasn't more serious.
"Hopefully, he'll be okay."
