AN 84-year-old driver had to be cut from his car after a crash in Bidston.
Firefighters were called to Hoylake Road at around 3pm on Sunday.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident.
Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the 84-year-old man from the vehicle.
He was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital by ambulance.
A man and woman, both aged 21, who were in the second vehicle were out of their car when firefighters arrived. They were assessed at the scene by paramedics.
Two fire appliances and the search and rescue team were called out.
Firefighters made the vehicles safe and were at the scene until around 4.15pm.
