A major drive is being launched in Wirral to fill up to 1,000 temporary jobs for the Open Championship this July.
A recruitment day will be held in Hoylake next Wednesday, May 7, from 2pm, at the Parade, Hoyle Road,.
Jobcentre Plus is organising the drive and says anyone interested in a temporary job at the Championship should to call in at the event to register their interest.
A wide variety of positions will be available, such as bar and waiting staff, catering assistants, retail staff, car park attendants and cleaners.
Jobcentre and council staff will be on hand to help with the completion of application forms and to take contact details from candidates for a database of people available for work at short notice during the championship.
Those who want to apply must be available for work during the week of Sunday, July 13, to the following Sunday.
