Summer is here! It’s a great time to get up and about, enjoy the sunshine and light nights with family and friends and get more active.

We’ve got lots of ways for you and your family to get more active and live healthier this summer. Whether you’re looking for ways to eat healthier, get more active, lose weight, quit smoking or relax and unwind our team are here to support you and your family. 10 tips to help you and your family get up and about this summer

  1. Get involved in one of our many FREE activities including relaxation sessions, gentle circuit training or running club – our sessions are suitable for all fitness levels and are a great way to meet new friends*
  2. Drop into one of our health trainer sessions and have your blood pressure checked – we’ll even create your own personalised action plan*
  3. Organise a family picnic in the park with lots of healthy snacks – healthy food gives you energy and helps you feel good
  4. Enjoy an evening walk around the block or park 
  5. Dust the cobwebs of your bike and go for a family bike ride
  6. Get gardening– mow the lawn, remove the weeds and enjoy the view
  7. Leave the car at home and walk to the shops
  8. Enjoy some gentle exercise at one of our Tai Chi sessions*
  9. Take a ball to the beach for a kick-about with the kids
  10. Get the kids involved in preparing a healthy lunch to enjoy in the garden.
