Elderly woman died after accident in Wirral supermarket car park
AN 81-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle in the car park of a Wirral supermarket yesterday afternoon
The accident happened just after 3pmat Aldi car park on Bridge Road in West Kirby and involved a grey Citroen Grand Picasso.
Patrons of a nearby pub attempted to help the victim before emergency services arrived.
The woman was taken to hospital but unfortunately died a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle and a passenger were taken to hospital suffering from shock.
An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is underway.
