I WOULD like to respond to Sarah Joinson's letter in last week's Globe Mailbox and her rant about dogs bothering her while she is out riding.

She states this happens when she is riding on "the beach, commons or the road."

Is there anywhere, then, that dog-owners can exercise their animals that would be to her liking?

Dogs cannot always be on a lead and should be allowed to run free in suitable areas, which I would consider to be the beach or common.

I wonder also if Ms Joinson gets off her horse and collects its manure when necessary as I am sick of seeing horse manure on the roads, beaches and on the commons.
