ARMED robbers raided a Wirral betting shop and threatened workers with crowbars.
The incident happened at around 7.45pm on Monday at Ladbrokes in Bebington Road, New Ferry when two men stole cash from the till.
No-one was injured during the robbery but a customer was left "shaken".
A police spokesman said: "Patrols attended and found a lone member of staff and one customer shaken but uninjured.
"The offenders are believed to have fled on foot in the direction of Port Sunlight."
The first man was white, aged in his 20s, around 5ft 5ins tall and medium build.He was wearing a black coat with the hood up and grey tracksuit bottoms.
The second was also white and aged in his 20s, around 6ft tall and medium build. He was wearing a dark-coloured top with a white stripe across the chest and dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms.
Police say the pair may have been “loitering” in the area before they targeted the shop.
Detectives have carried out house to house enquiries and are viewing CCTV from the area to see if the incident was caught on camera.
