McQUEEN Hector Alan Alan passed away peacefully aged 92 on Monday 20th November 2023 at Arrowe Park Hospital after a short illness. He will sadly missed by his family and friends. He was Head Teacher at Arrowe Hill and Devenshire Park. Funeral service will be held on Friday 8th December at Landican Crematorium, South Chapel, at 10.30am.Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Cancer Research Uk. The service will be live streamed from the chapel . All enquiries c/o Griffith and Son- 0151 638 5528

Mr McQueen was the headteacher at my first school post, as a qualified teacher. I learnt so, so much from him. He was a calm and quiet man, even when speaking seriously to pupils about their behaviour. I only heard him raise his voice once - and the walls of the school vibrated!
I know Mr McQueen has been a positive influence on so, so many pupils and members of staff throughout his career.
My thoughts are with his family and friends at this extremely sad time.
