BURGESS Edward (TED) 06/11/34 - 11/05/23 Passed away peacefully at home after a short illness. Dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Margaret. Devoted dad of Diane and Glen, father in law of Gary and Eileen and much loved grandad of Beth, Luke, Mel, Emily, Adam and Daniel. Teds funeral service and cremation is to take place at Landican South Chapel on Thursday June 1st 2023 at 1.30pm. Family flowers only please but donations if desired to Cancer Research. There'll be times when I'll feel sad, and I'll feel lonely too, but I'll always have the memories we made as me and you. You were my rock I could turn to in times of good and bad, you were my world, my soulmate, the best husband I could have had. I will miss you so much, sleep peacefully Ted, till we meet again. You may have thought we didn't see or that we hadn't heard, life lessons that you taught to us, but we got every word. Perhaps you thought we missed it all and that we'd grow apart, but Dad, we picked up everything its forever in our hearts. Life goes on as always, but things seem out of place now that I can't call on you or see your smiling face. Although its really painful to think that you are gone, I know you're in a better place when all is said and done. I will never forget you, and we'll never be apart, in all the special memories I keep inside my heart. Sleep tight Grandad. We'll think of all your little tunes that you'd often hum and sing, and all the smiles and giggles that your silly jokes would bring. We could always turn to you when something needed mending, a handyman, jack of all trades, your kindness was never ending.
