Dad
Our lives have changed forever dad
And it happened so suddenly
A branch has now fallen
From our family tree
We know that Heaven called you
We wish you could have stayed
But at least the amazing memories we have will never ever fade.
We’ll remember the best times, the laughter, the dancing, the songs.
The hurt we’re feeling can only make us strong.
What do we do now without that cheeky, loving smile and your heart of gold.
The words of pain just can’t be told.
We know you will always be with us
We will never be apart
We will love you always dad
Even with our broken heart
In your absence we suffer
But your words we’ll remember
“We’re family, we all love each other”.
You really were one of the best!
