WENDY BARBARA JONES (Neé Colquhoun) Aged 91, formerly of Wallasey, Bootle and Broadgreen, wife of the late Emyr (Jonnie) Salusbury Jones. Brother Ian and sister-in-law Audrey would like to thank Captain Phil Brown who led the service at Landican on Thursday 7th February. Her son Philip and his wife Aline who led the family mourners, her deceased daughter Jane Archibald’s sons, Steve, Adam and Chris who carried their Granny with dignity, shoulder high to a service of quiet reflection and remembrance. Regrettably her grand-daughter Cyrielle was unable to attend. Her grandson William who had died tragically in France was mentioned in the Eulogy. Our sincere gratitude goes to the staff at Abbeyfield Lear House for the loving care she received for almost seven years, whilst she resided there following the death of Jonnie after 57 years of marriage. Wendy enjoyed the visits of her sisters Joyce and the late Pamela, and those of her great grandchildren, Ellie, Evie, Emma, Jamie, Matilda and Ben and, in particular, her good friend Vivien Beech. We would also like to thank the representatives of Lear House who joined us, her nephews, great nephews, nieces and friends, all of whom were able to pay their respects. We are grateful to Quinns Funeral Directors for their assistance.
