THE hunt is now on to find the Globe Photographer of the Year 2008.

We are looking for the best photograph taken by a reader in Wirral this year.

Last year, we received thousands of stunning photographs, but the competition was finally won by Sally Dutton, from Moreton (pictured) with a picture of her son.

All of this year’s entries must fit into one of the following categories:

People

Animals

Sunsets

Seascapes

Landscape

Landmarks

General

All photographic entries must have been taken in or around Wirral.

A shortlist of ten photographs will be selected by the Globe’s chief photographer, David Gennard, and the winning snap will be decided by public vote in September.

The competition is being sponsored by Fairs Digital of Rock Ferry, who will be presenting the winner with a £100 gift voucher, together with a framed enlargement of the winning shot and other prizes.
