THE Tall Ships have been and gone, but there’s still six weeks of summer holidays to fill...
Fear not! The Globe is giving two readers - and their families - the chance to visit 24 leading attractions all over the North West and not pay a penny!
The Cheshire Passports are worth over £450 each and you will have the chance to explore Arley Hall and Gardens, see Chester Zoo’s baby animals, or visit the National Waterways Museum for canal boat rides and lots of interactive exhibits.
Gulliver’s World is ideal for families with children aged two - 13, with over 50 rides and attractions. Ness Botanic Gardens is a favourite at this time of the year, with 62 acres of wonderful gardens and a new visitor centre. Fun for both adults and children, there’s also the opportunity to see sharks from the 70-metre walk-through tunnel at Ellesmere Port’s Blue Planet Aquarium. Or, if flora and fauna are more your cup of tea, there’s Stapeley Water Gardens with the lush tropical Palms Tropical Oasis or Bridgemere Garden World for great shopping and wonderful gardens. Just a short car ride from Wirral is Beeston Castle, with its amazing views and a new wildlife trail.
Or, closer to home, is our very own Port Sunlight Village, the Sunlight Vision Museum and the iconic Lady Lever Gallery. For those who enjoy a challenge, there is Redhouse Farm, near Altrincham, with its huge Maize Maze, from July until September.
Cheshire Oaks is always a winner for some guilt-free shopping, and for more information on all these attractions, visit the websites: www.cheshiredaysout.co.uk www.visitchester.com To be in with a chance of winning this fabulous prize, simply answer this question: How many acres has Ness Botanic Gardens?
Send your answer, along with your name, address and telephone number to: Globe/Cheshire Passport competition, Haymarket Court, Hinson Street, Birkenhead CH41 5BX by the closing date of Wednesday, July 30.
