Police investigations are underway after car smashed into a bus then drove off only to crash though a shop window.
The incident meant roads had to be closed in Liscard on Saturday morning.
Officers were called to Falkland Road at around 11.15am after receiving reports that a car had collided with a bus and three stationary vehicles.
The car continued onto Liscard Road then, at the junction with Croxteth Avenue, crashed into the front of a shop causing extensive damage . No-one in the shop at the the time was injured.
The driver of the car, a man believed to be in his 30s, was taken to hospital for assessment although he is not thought to be injured.
Traffic patrol officers attended the scene and road closures were in place on Martin's Lane and near Liscard shopping centre.
