OVER the past 12 weeks Wirral Council has been asking Wirral residents about their neighbourhood; what they think of where they live; what they value and what they think needs to change.
Since the end of July, more than 1,100 people have taken the opportunity to voice their opinions on what matters most in their community as part of a process to develop eleven individual neighbourhood plans for the borough.
Council staff have attended more than 170 community events, businesses and organised groups to gather peoples' views, which will now be shared with residents at a series of public feedback events.
Councillor Jean Stapleton, cabinet member for community engagement said: "We would like to share the results of our conversations with whole communities and give them a chance comment on what other people have said before the findings are used to develop the Neighbourhood Plans.
"We are inviting all Wirral residents to an Area Forum Feedback and Funding event to hear what people in their neighbourhood have said.
"In addition to this, they will also hear from community groups who have applied for money to support local projects and then have the chance to vote on who receives the funding."
