Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery of a high value mountain bike in Harrison Drive, Wallasey last Friday (2 September).

The victim was riding his bike when he was approached by two men who took his bike from him by force.

The bike is described as a white Kona Stinky Air mountain bike with crankbrother iodine wheels and is fitted with an Immobitag.

The offenders are described as being 19-20 years of age, approximately 6 ft tall and both were wearing grey tracksuit bottoms with grey t-shirts. One of the men is described as having short blond hair.

Detective Sergeant Mark Watson said: "This is a very distinctive, specialist bike and I would appeal to anyone who has seen or is offered the bike to contact the police.

It is an offence to receive stolen goods and anyone who knowingly purchases stolen goods will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.
