A MAN has been found dead in a woodland area in Greasby.
At around 5am this morning (Wednesday, January 18) the body of a man was found in Upton Meadow woods off Greasby Road.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe the circumstances around the death are not suspicious.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that officers are in Greasby following the unexplained death of a man.
“The incident is being treated as unexplained while enquiries are carried out, but is not initially believed to be suspicious.
“Please avoid the area where possible while we carry out these enquiries.”
