A TRAIN was evacuated at Bromborough Rake station after a fire broke out in one of the carriages.
The incident took place on Merseyrail's Liverpool to Chester service at 8pm on Tuesday.
Passengers were evacuated as firefighters tackled the blaze caused by an electrical fault after the resistor fan became blocked by dust.
The coach was moderately damaged by the smoke.
Network Rail have been informed.
