THE Wallasey tunnel has fully reopened after a van fire.
Emergency services were called to the Wallasey exit of the Kingsway Tunnel at around 12.10pm today (Tuesday, April 30) following reports of a van fire.
On arrival, firefighters found a van on fire on the plaza, between the toll booths and tunnel entrance.
Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the flames.
No-one was injured during the incident.
The tunnel reopened at around 2.20pm.
